John Brown tops UK customer publisher tables for sixth year running

This year's league table of customer publishing agencies, the annual ranking compiled by industry bible Marketing, sees John Brown take top spot for the sixth consecutive year. 

As reported this week in Marketing and by industry body the Association of Publishing Agencies (APA), the table “reflects the continued resilience of the sector”, and reveals brands devoting increased focus and resources to customer retention in an uncertain market environment.

The UK's leading customer publishers have performed creditably over the past 12 months. Speaking to Marketing, Julia Hutchison, chief operating officer of the APA, said that brands were increasingly recognising “the strength of editorial content in building brand loyalty,” both in print and online.

Marketing reports: “The biggest agency in the sector, John Brown, has retained the top spot in the table for the past six years, demonstrating great stability in an often fickle market.”
