Account Manager - Catalogues

John Brown’s Catalogues department has a vacancy for an account manager, who will work with a number of our clients.

You will have a good understanding of retail catalogue design and production, or of similar work. You must be a self-starter, highly enthusiastic and totally committed to ensuring that all key stages in the catalogue process are met.

You will be educated to degree standard (or equivalent) and will have significant experience related to the position. Strong organisational ability and good communication skills with both client and internal customer groups are vital. You must be flexible, customer orientated and computer literate, with excellent interpersonal and writing skills.

You will be managing all aspects of individual projects’ schedules and liaising with photo buyers to ensure that the entire project runs on time. An understanding of current print and production methods would be valuable, as would a background in marketing.

Key job elements include:
• Estimating a job from start to finish
• Managing the flow of the project to ensure on-time, on-budget printed pieces
• Preparing for concept presentation (coordinating the creation of concept boards, leave-behinds, etc)
• Liaising with print manager and desktop to ensure all key dates are met
• Creating schedules based on the team’s and customers’ media plans and printers’ dates
• Reviewing production workflow and schedules at team meetings
• Compiling merchandise info and specs at pick-up meetings
• Breaking down photo estimates by category
• Troubleshooting/solving problems with projects while on location
• Managing budgets while on shoot
